Conventional Composting Toilet Retrofits - fix your failing asset

TTS now offers retrofits of failing composting toilet systems using the TTS-BTW urine diversion system.

POST RETROFIT OPERATIONS

  • NO BULKING AGENT REQUIRED

  • COMPLETE URINE DIVERSION TO EXISTING DRAIN FIELD

  • REDUCED MATERIAL MAINTENANCE FROM FROM WEEKLY TO YEARLY.  REMOVAL EVERY 10-15 YEARS.

  • ASSURED STABILIZATION OF SOLID WASTE WITH ONSITE TESTING AND ANALYSIS PRIOR TO DISPOSAL

Dr. Hill completed his PhD on conventional composting toilets.  Sampling 'compost' from dozens of facilities, he found none produced anything that resembled compost.  All material was urine soaked, had foul odor, contained excessive E.coli, and produced 4x larger volumes of waste that sheer excreta alone (due to wood shavings).  The cost to maintain the systems was excessive and hazardous from a work-place safety perspective.

The installation took 1 day for each toilet.  The toilet structure's insulation was heavily chewed by rodents.  Proper PPE was required.
